Where to live?
When deciding where to live consider:
>>
How far away your campus and
other facilities (workplace, sport,
library, shops and markets etc.) are
>>
Costs (rent and cost of travel)
>>
Lifestyle (if you would like to live
in the city, suburbs or close to
the beach)
>>
Preferred living arrangements
(if you like to live alone or would like
to share with other students.)
The most popular types of student
accommodation are student housing
(purpose-built apartments or dormitory
style residences) and private rental
accommodation (apartment or house)
Accommodation
types
Student housing
Adelaide has many accommodation
options specifically for students.
These include dormitory style
accommodation, shared apartments
(individual bedrooms with shared
facilities) or individual studio style
apartments. Most of these provide
students with a private room (so you
can concentrate on your studies) while
sharing other facilities in a friendly
environment where you can mingle
with other students from all over
the world.
Most student housing is located in
the city or near TAFE SA campuses,
saving on transport costs and placing
you close to facilities.
Many of these offer inclusions such as
internet access, utilities, fully furnished
apartments and they may offer
additional services such as meals
or laundry.
Accommodation
Adelaide has a diverse range
of accommodation options to suit
all requirements and budgets.
