COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Advanced IELTS Preparation courses are
designed for upper intermediate level international
students who need to improve their IELTS score
for further study in TAFE SA courses or at
university level.
The course has a focus on:
>> Preparing for entry into TAFE SA courses with
a higher IELTS requirement such as Nursing,
Dental Technology, Electronic Engineering
and others
>> Preparing for university study, professional
registration and Migration applications
>> Developing high-level academic skills:
writing, listening and note taking, reading,
comprehension, academic speech for oral
presentations and seminars, study skills
>> Developing grammar, vocabulary,
pronunciation and computer literacy in English
>> IELTS test practice.
COURSE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Assessment of English language skill is done
upon arrival on campus to enable placement in
the correct level class. IELTS overall of 5.0 with
a minimum of 5.0 in all sub scores (20 weeks
duration) or equivalent. IELTS Overall of 5.5 with
a minimum of 5.5 in all sub scores (10 weeks
duration)or equivalent.
