“I enjoyed UQ’s beautiful campus and
its environment, as well as studying with
students from all around the world.
“The program taught me how the whole
tourism industry functions, from service
management to tourism development, and
helped me understand how I should interact
with clients. The Meet the Industry Leaders
Event (MILE) was particularly useful in
gaining insights into the industry.
“Brisbane was a great city to live in, not
too big or too small and with everything you
need: sports, entertainment and lots of nice
cafés and restaurants.
“UQ has definitely changed my life, not
only because of its world-class education,
but also through meeting and working with
people from all around the world.”

“I chose UQ because of its beautiful
campus, numerous opportunities and
prestigious international ranking.
“Since being here, I have worked as
a Peer Assisted Study Session tutor,
completed a summer research scholarship,
sat on a university club committee, and
went to France for a short cancer research
program. It’s been a wonderful experience.
“I think the lecturers and tutors do an
amazing job. I like it when teachers are
dedicated to their craft and put in effort to
help their students succeed. Everyone is
always ready to help.
“I particularly enjoy working in the
Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence
(PACE) building: it is easy to talk to friends
and meet new people.”

“To sum up my study experience in
Australia, I would have to say it was ‘like a
dream’. Initially I found the pace of life very
slow, but I soon came to appreciate the
relaxed lifestyle and friendly and welcoming
people.
“I found the academic staff very
supportive and able to offer valuable
practical and industry-based advice. There
were also many opportunities for ‘real
world’ undergraduate and postgraduate
research.
“The students were vibrant and open
and there was a strong sense of peer
support and collaboration. I really enjoyed
the vibe on campus where there are large
open spaces for people to gather and have
a good discussion or meal, and where
people smile and say hello as they
walk by.
“My advice? Travel, travel, travel!”
