COURSE DESCRIPTION/SKILLS COVERED
6 core units: Participate in OHS processes;
produce drawings to communicate ideas;
realise a creative project; develop self as artist;
develop and discuss ideas for own creative work;
research history and theory to inform own arts
practice; plus 9 elective units.

COURSE DESCRIPTION/SKILLS COVERED
19 units: OHS; quality standards, work in the TCF
Industry; identifying materials; environmentally
sustainable work practises; contribute to
footwear improvement processes; organising
and planning own work; estimating and costing;
stuff cutting; cutting non-printed leather by
machine; operate sewing machine; machine
uppers; finishing operations; table-based
operations; hand cutting leathers; hand lasting
operations; assembling shoes by hand; foot
anatomy principles; sewing leather by hand.
Students produce Derby shoes, Oxford shoes,
court shoes and ankle boots, as well as 1(one)
pair as part of their industry project with
R. M. Williams (This may be a sandal, shoe or
boot style).
