Students may wish to select temporary accommodation and investigate
shared accommodation upon arrival. A list of available accommodation
is posted on the notice board of the International Centre reception
areas. Alternatively students can make an appointment to meet our
Accommodation Officer for assistance.

Students are encouraged to contact the landlord for an inspection
before signing any agreements.
Accommodation for Couples/Families
Suitable for students studying at all campuses.
Students who wish to find accommodation as a couple or as a family
are encouraged to look at the following options:
• UniLodge on Flinders from $343 per week
Flinders Note: A minimum stay will apply (usually one semester).
A bond equivalent to one month’s rent is also required.

Hotel Accommodation
Suitable for students studying at all campuses.
Holmesglen can arrange short-term hotel accommodation for students.
This type of accommodation is suitable for students who wish to
arrange their long-term accommodation after they arrive in Melbourne.
Hotels are located near to Holmesglen’s campuses. Hotels offer both
standard/economy rooms with shared bathroom facilities and also
superior rooms with ensuite bathroom.
Cost
• Hotel Placement Fee $270 (including airport reception)
• Nightly motel/hotel rent From $95-$140
• All rental payments are payable directly to the hotel.
How to Book
1. Forward Hotel Placement Fee ($270) with tuition fees
2. Forward a completed hotel application form
3. Forward arrival details
4. Upon receipt of the above, confirmation of accommodation/arrival
details will be forwarded
5. The hotel placement fee is not refundable if the student does not
arrive as scheduled.

which can be booked directly with the accommodation provider.

provider.
Airport Reception Services
Airport reception is included in the fee charged for Institute
Accommodation and in the Accommodation Placement Fee charged for
Homestay and Hotel accommodation.
Students arriving in Melbourne who have paid for the service will
be met at the airport and transported to their accommodation. This
service is only available to students whose accommodation booking
has been confirmed by the Institute.
For students who wish to book International House, Unilodge,
Claremont Guesthouse or Student Housing Australia accommodation,
airport reception is not included in the fee; however, it can be arranged
through Holmesglen. The cost of airport reception in this instance is
$160 and is payable to Holmesglen together with tuition fees.
All students requiring assistance with airport reception, with
accommodation arranged through Holmesglen, MUST inform the
Institute of their flight details at least ONE WEEK prior to their arrival to
ensure suitable accommodation and airport reception can be arranged.
If arrival details are not forwarded well in advance of the arrival date,
the Institute cannot guarantee that accommodation can be arranged.
Assistance for Parents
Holmesglen is unable to assist parents who wish to accompany their
children to Melbourne with accommodation arrangements. However,
we are able to provide a listing of conveniently situated hotels/motels
located in Melbourne’s CBD or close to the campus. The Institute may
be able to assist with airport reception on an individual basis. The cost
of airport reception in this instance is $160 per person, payable to
Holmesglen Institute prior to arrival.
