The Bachelor of Business (Marketing Management) equips graduates with a more balanced view
of marketing. Through the practical application of theory and concepts students develop a broad
based understanding of business and marketing management, which is immediately applicable in the
workplace.
The Entrepreneurship and New Venture project in the final semester exposes students to the need
for innovation and change. The degree prepares students with the skills to challenge, question and
invigorate their working environment, and enter the marketing management sector with confidence.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business (Marketing Management) will be eligible to apply for a diverse
range of positions requiring skills and knowledge in marketing and business management. Career
pathways may include, marketing co-ordinator, brand manager, marketing and communications
manager, sales manager, marketing and events co-ordinator or as an assistant in any of the previously
mentioned roles.
Students who have completed the Advanced Diploma of Marketing at Holmesglen are guaranteed
credit of 1.5 years towards this course.
Students entering the program with other higher education qualifications will be assessed for
exemptions on a case by case basis.

The Bachelor of Business Administration equips students with a thorough understanding of specialised
business functions, including business management, economics, finance, technology, marketing,
business communications, statistics, law and people management. The final year includes an applied
New Venture Creation project which integrates multiple disciplines and prepares graduates to be work
ready.
The range of electives includes public relations, professional sales, international business
protocols, buyer behaviour, leadership, compliance and risk management, and customer relationship
management. The course prepares students to explore more specialised areas such as accounting,
marketing, international business or human resources.
The degree develops generalist business, management, and leadership knowledge and skills.
Graduates will thus be employable in a diverse range of occupations. Depending on the electives
completed, career pathways may include: business analyst, assistant business manager, human
resources officer, business consultant or marketing officer. Graduates could also expect to seek
out graduate trainee programs such as in the banking or government sector. Graduates will also be
employable in a range of industries such as multinational companies, local councils, government
agencies, the banking and finance sector and marketing organisations.
Students who have completed a Diploma of Business at Holmesglen will receive credit of one year
towards this course. Students who have completed an Advanced Diploma of Business at Holmesglen
will receive credit of 1.5 years towards this course. Refer to individual entries for more information.
