Credit for previous study
If you have completed post-secondary (and
some International Baccalaureate) studies
you may be eligible for advanced standing
(transfer credit) towards an undergraduate
program at UQ. Your application for credit
should include full documentation of
previous studies, including certified course
descriptions.
Articulation programs
Articulation arrangements allow you to
receive credit for previous studies, thereby
gaining your UQ qualification sooner. UQ
has articulation arrangements with several
universities.
Mid-year entry
Some UQ programs are offered for mid-year
entry which means you can commence
in Semester 2 (July): check the Academic
Programs listed on pages 22-37 to find out
which programs are offered mid-year.
Deferrals, suspensions
and transfers
Under special circumstances international
students can defer the commencement
of their studies, or suspend/interrupt their
studies. You can check the conditions under
which this can be done, and find instructions
on how to do it, at:
myadvisor/changing-or-withdrawing
.
Please be aware that if you are enrolled in a
quota program you
cannot
defer your studies.
