Credit for previous study
If you have completed post-secondary
studies, you may be eligible for advanced
standing (credit transfer) towards an
undergraduate program at UQ (see page 15).
Some credit may also be possible if you have
completed the International Baccalaureate.
Your application for credit should include full
documentation of previous studies, including
certified course descriptions. See
http://
creditprecedents.app.uq.edu.au/
.
Articulation programs
Articulation arrangements allow you to
receive credit for previous studies, thereby
gaining your UQ qualification sooner. UQ
has articulation arrangements with a number
of other institutions.
Mid-year entry
Some UQ programs are offered for mid-year
entry which means you can commence in
Semester 2 (July): see
study
for programs offered mid-year.
Suspensions, deferrals and
cancellations
If you wish to defer (i.e. delay commencing
a program), please contact the International
Admissions office as soon as possible: you
may be able to apply for a deferral for up to
two years, depending on the program and
its availability.
Once you commence study, you may
also suspend or cancel your enrolment
on compassionate or other compelling
grounds. The University may also suspend
or cancel your enrolment for a number
of reasons including misbehaviour, poor
academic standing and unsatisfactory
academic progress. For details see UQ’s
