you can also select a second preference which we may consider if
you are not accepted for your frst choice); and if your program has plans (felds of study),

Check the entry requirements and deadline
All programs have specifc academic and English language requirements and some
programs have additional requirements: please check that you satisfy them all

You must pay a non-refundable application fee of $100 by credit card or bank transfer (see
website for details) and, whichever method you use to apply, you will be required to provide
certain documentary evidence to support your application (see page opposite)

Your application will be assessed
We will assess your application and, if eligible, will send you an Offer Letter by email, as well
as a Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) declaration (if you have applied for a standalone
or package offer for a Bachelor or Masters degree by coursework, or for UQ Study Abroad
or Student Exchange programs) and information about what to do next (such as fnding
accommodation online, commencing your studies at UQ, and living in Brisbane)

Accept offer
Return the completed Acceptance
form, payment, and signed SVP declaration (if
applicable) – along with any other documents that we have requested to satisfy conditions –
to International Admissions Sections or one of the University’s local representatives

Confrm enrolment
Once we receive your Acceptance and payment, and provided you have met any
conditions required, we will issue you with a
Confrmation of Enrolment
(CoE) via email,
as well as information on what you need to do next (including how to organise airport
reception and temporary accommodation) and a list of important dates

Get an international student visa
Use your CoE to apply for a student visa via an Embassy, High Commission or the
Department of Immigration and Citizenship, and make travel arrangements

Prepare for departure
Book airport reception and accommodation at www.uq.edu.au/student-services/
accommodation and attend a Pre-Departure Seminar (if one is offered locally)

Arrive at UQ

Attend Orientation and enrol
Go to
Getting Started
and
Welcome
sessions, and enrol online

Commence study
