This program equips graduate entry students with the theoretical knowledge, professional attributes, and clinical and research
skills necessary for professional careers in speech pathology. As well as providing an understanding of the principles of scientifc
principles, critical analysis and research design as applied in professional practice, the program includes clinical practicums that
focus on paediatric and adult assessment and rehabilitation. This program will provide you with a professional qualifcation as a

Admission requirements
Bachelor degree or equivalent in a feld (other than speech pathology) such as health; education; social,
biological or physical sciences; or humanities; with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 4 on a
7-point scale. Entry is competitive based on GPA. You must also have completed pre-requisite courses in
statistics and a course in either linguistics, psychology, or physiology.

Placements**: A six-week full-time block of clinical practice occurs at the beginning of the second year of this program and you will be placed according to your

These programs offer practising sports coaches the opportunity to develop their professional practice and prepare them for the
world of high performance sport. You will be equipped with applied skills in leadership and management, as well as theoretical
and applied knowledge of the principles of science and practice; and will engage in work-based learning experiences that

You will be expected to fund travel and living expenses associated with
placements, some of which may be outside the Brisbane metropolitan area. Every
effort is made to place students within a reasonable distance of the UQ campus
but you can be expected to travel up to 60 minutes away. Students are generally
placed at Ipswich, Brisbane and the south-east corner of Queensland.
