This suite of programs provides professional postgraduate education in areas that impact directly on the effcient technical,
scientifc and commercial management of the minerals industry. You will gain analytical skills that enable critical assessment of
alternative solutions to complex industry problems, and to focus on investigating and resolving design and operational problems in
a safely and effciently. You can follow a specialist stream in geophysics or geochemistry.

Offered jointly by UQ and UK’s Institute of Petroleum Engineering (IPE) at Heriot Watt University, this program encompasses a
wide range of petroleum engineering fundamentals, pertinent to the modern petroleum industry and Australia’s gas industry.
Project work includes applying ideas and methods to real feld evaluation and development design problems.
