Part-time english courses
The UNSW Institute of Languages also offers a range of
part-time English courses, including:
• IELTS Test Preparation
• Pronunciation and clear speaking
• Communication skills for Business.
Please note, part-time English courses are not recognised as
the principal course for the purposes of a student visa.
modern languages
The UNSW Institute of Languages offers an extensive range
of short language courses for students wishing to learn a
language for business, travel and tourism, cultural interests,
or to maintain their level of fuency.
Our courses include: Mandarin Chinese, Japanese,
Korean, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Indonesian,
Arabic and Portuguese.
language teacher education
The UNSW Institute of Languages offers a variety of language
teacher education courses ranging from initial pre-service
qualifcations to in-service professional development courses.
The courses have been designed to provide qualifying
trainees with the essential experience and skills required to
teach English successfully to international students.
language testing
The UNSW Institute of Languages also designs customised
language profciency tests to suit the needs of different
organisations. Tests are available in over 70 languages,
including English, and are specifcally tailored for corporate
clients or government agencies who wish to have the
language skills of employees or prospective employees
assessed and accredited.
UNSW Institute of Languages is an approved IELTS testing
centre, TOEFL Test Centre and TOEIC Test Centre.
