COURSEWORK
TUITIONFEE
CALCULATION
As a fee-paying student, you will pay
tuition fees based on the specifc
courses (subjects) you undertake,
regardless of the program in which you
enrol. Fees must be paid by the due date
each semester (study period).
Most UQ programs give you the option of
enrolling in a range of courses that meet
program requirements and, as not all
courses are charged at the same rate, your
individual tuition fees may vary from one
study period to the next. This means it is not
possible to publish a fxed fee.
To help you understand your likely tuition
fees, we have included an indicative full-time
semester fee for the frst year of the program
for 2014 for most of the listed programs.
By multiplying the fee by the number
of semesters in your program, you can
calculate an approximate total cost.
Tuition fees are indexed each year.
The indexation rate is fxed 18 months
in advance of a particular academic year
thereby allowing you to plan your fnances
ahead of time. The University’s intent is that
fee rate increases will be kept to a minimum
and that indexation rates will remain
stable wherever possible. Since 2007 the
indexation rate has remained at or less than
four per cent and for 2014 it Is 4.5 per cent.
