facilities
UnsW institute of languages offers excellent facilities.
classroom locations
UNSW Institute of Languages has two excellent teaching
locations. One is on the UNSW Kensington campus, which
it shares with UNSW Foundation Studies. The other is on the
UNSW Randwick campus where the institute has its own
purpose built language learning building. Your classes may
be timetabled at either of these locations.
technology enabled learning and
teaching resources
All UNSW Institute of Languages classrooms are equipped
with state of the art educational technology which includes
computers, projection capability, internet access and
interactive whiteboards.
Both campuses have computer laboratories for your
convenience. The computer labs are also used for classes
to assist you with writing and research skills. Outside class
hours, you can access computers in the Learning Support
Unit (LSU). WIFI is also available if you bring your own laptop
computer. The Institute has a student intranet to provide you
with a wide range of helpful information including details of
sporting and social activities.
learning support Unit (lsU)
Each UNSW Institute of Languages campus has an LSU
which provides facilities for you to study by yourself, with
a qualifed teacher always available to provide assistance.
The LSU provides resources to enable you to improve your
listening, pronunciation, grammar, reading and writing skills.
cafés and restaurants
There is a café located on Level 1 of the L5 building at
Kensington. You can also access a number of eateries on the
main UNSW Kensington campus. These include cafeterias,
restaurants and Asian food bars, as well as a range of
reasonably priced food outlets in the adjoining areas. Both
campuses have student common areas with seating, and
facilities for you to prepare meals.
