elite Programs at UnsW institute of languages are customised courses and study tour programs for
groups. these programs are tailored to suit the specifc needs of each student group.
Programs can focus on developing English communication
skills in a wide variety of felds such as government
administration, teaching, business, law, medicine, social
welfare, science and technology.
Key features
• Short-term and long-term programs are available
• Groups may be integrated into mainstream classes
or have their own exclusive classes depending on
the purpose of the program
• On arrival, you will undertake a specially designed
Orientation Program which includes a welcome
ceremony, tour of the UNSW campus and introduction
to life in Australia
• You will enjoy access to a range of services including
independent learning resources, the UNSW Health
Service, and sports facilities
• Accommodation and airport pick-up can be arranged
• Special focus excursions and feld trips can be arranged
as part of the program curriculum
• You can enjoy the opportunity to attend lectures at
UNSW by prior arrangement
• Upon successful completion of the program, you will
receive a UNSW Institute of Languages certifcate
at a graduation ceremony.
Programs for Groups from Partner Universities
Programs are tailored to suit the specifc requirements of the
partner universities and your individual needs. The UNSW
Institute of Languages works in close consultation with
partner universities in planning, developing and implementing
customised courses. These programs may be counted for
credit towards the degree you are taking in your home country.
english Programs for University credit
• Normally programs of 5 weeks or more
• Students are integrated into mainstream General English,
Academic English (minimum 10 weeks) or Business
English classes according to their level of profciency
and needs of the university partner
• Transcripts are provided for partner universities.
special focus Programs for University credit
• Content designed specifcally to meet the needs
of the partner institution
• You can enjoy the opportunity to attend lectures at UNSW by
prior arrangement, as well as guest speakers and site visits
• Duration may be less than 5 weeks
• Normally students study in an exclusive “closed” group.
english + semester at UnsW
• 10 to 20 weeks study of Academic English to enable
you to meet the UNSW English entry requirements
• Semester Program organised in conjunction with
UNSW Study Abroad
• Intensive semester program to ft northern
hemisphere summer.
