IELTS Overall 5.0; Writing 4.5 10 weeks
The Pre-Foundation Year English (PFY) is designed to
assist you develop the English language skills required to
successfully complete a UNSW Foundation Studies program.
Key features:
• On successful completion of PFY, you do not need to
retake an IELTS or similar test and you are admitted
directly into your UFS course
• Approximately 90% of PFY students successfully enter UFS
• PFY develops English profciency and academic study
skills you need for success in UFS including: presentation
and discussion skills, listening and note-taking, research
and academic writing
• You are taught by highly qualifed and experienced
teachers who understand the special needs of
Foundation Studies students and provide you with the
support and advice you need
• Specifcally designed learning resources are
enhanced through the use of online learning and
teaching activities
• Conducted at UNSW’s Randwick or Kensington
campus, PFY provides you with the opportunity
to familiarise yourself with UNSW and all
its facilities and support services, while
building a network of fellow students
before you commence your UNSW
undergraduate degree
• You can package your PFY, UFS and
UNSW degree program under one visa
covering the entire period of study for
all programs.

I came here to study because UNSW has a good reputation
and my cousin studied and graduated at UNSW and was very
happy. I enjoy the healthy environment, fresh air and I can go
swimming and play sport while studying here. I’ve become
