UNSW Foundation Studies awards the
Ross Woodham Scholarships in honour
of the late founding Director, Mr Ross
Woodham, a graduate of UNSW.
The scholarships are for the most outstanding students
in each major intake at UNSW Foundation Studies, Sydney,
in each of the three following academic areas:
• Science (Physical/Life combined)
• Business
• Arts and Social Science/Design and Media (combined).
Each scholarship is valued at A$7,500 and is offered to
students (international or local) enrolling at UNSW.
In addition to these scholarships and awards, various
subject prizes are given to outstanding students. These
prizes are University Bookshop vouchers. UNSW occasionally
offers scholarships to UNSW Foundation Studies students.

Scholarships and Awards
Advanced Standing
Design Program
Students who successfully complete the UNSW Foundation
Studies program in Design, and enrol at UNSW Faculty of
College of Fine Arts (COFA), can apply for advanced standing.
They will be eligible to receive 6 units of credit towards their
undergraduate degree.
Science Program
Students who successfully complete the UNSW Foundation
Studies program in Science, and enrol at UNSW Faculty of
Science, can apply for advanced standing. They will be eligible
to receive 6 units of credit towards their undergraduate degree.
